The Architecture of Electricity
My fascination with largescale industrial architecture began during an early morning trip in Arizona to go visit Roosevelt Lake and watch the sunrise. Part of that drive takes you right past the Theodore Roosevelt Dam and when I drove up to it I immediately knew I had to stop and photograph it. Listening to that impulse fundamentally changed my goals with photography being a hobby I enjoyed to something I wanted to pursue as a career. When I got back home and edited those photos I was hooked. It became an obsession and a lifetime career goal to photograph every major dam in the United States. This is a goal that will take 30-40 years to accomplish but I jump at every opportunity to photograph another dam and get a little to closer to that goal.
